There's something special about a being out for sunset on a cold autumn evening. The crisp chill in the air, not many people around, and the feel of change between seasons. This time of year is my favorite as we anticipate winter and snow in the mountains. I saw this image while hiking at Seattle's Discovery Park. Down on the beach as the sun dipped below the horizon, a pink glow lit up the west side of Mt Rainier far in the distance. Rainier, with what looked to be a fresh coat of snow, seemed to be basking in the glow of the late autumn light.
